IPAL Project on Tidung Island must Be Accelerated

Jakarta DPRD's Commission D, said the completion on development of the wastewater treatment plants (IPAL) on Tidung Island, Seribu Islands should be accelerated.

If it is accelerated, its implementation will be better. It won't disturb the activity of the people

Abdurrahman Suhaimi, Vice Chairperson of Jakarta DPRD's Commission disclosed it must be done, as 600 people of Tidung Island desperately need the IPAL.

"If it is accelerated, its implementation will be better. It won't disturb the activity of the people," he stated, Thursday (10/12).

Tidung Island's IPAL is Targeted to Finish in December

Similar statement also comes from another member, Pantas Nainggolan. He stated, if the development is neglected, it will have a negative impact on residents. Therefore, his party supports the city steps in accelerating the IPAL development.

"It's supporting to speed up IPAL, as it is very urgent," he exclaimed.

On the other hand, the commission D member, Bestari Barus added will invite PAL Jaya to discuss the development.

"The commission will also discuss specifically and invite PAL Jaya. Is IPAL sufficient for the needs of the people or there are other strategies, so the waste does not pollute the environment," he closed.
